German destroyer, Z21 Wilhelm Heidkamp, a believed ship builders model, with wood laminate hull and superstructure, well detailed quality brass metalware fittings, 120cm bow to stern, beam 10.5cm, height keel to top of funnel 20cm.
Z21 Wilhelm Heidkamp was one of six Type 1936 destroyers built for the Kriegsmarine in the late 1930's. Completed in September 1939, the ship served as a flagship throughout her career. On the 10th April 1940, she was struck was struck in the stern by a torpedo from HMS Hardy that detonated the ship's aft magazine, whilst in Narvik Harbour, Norway.
