1961 Royal Enfield Clipper, 249cc. Registration number HEK 89 (non transferrable). Frame number 15406. Engine number C 8217.
The Clipper was launched in 1954, as a cheap and basic get you to work machine, it used an old-fashioned engine with a cast iron barrel and cylinder head. Despite the budget credentials of the Clipper, the finish was good. Paint was thickly applied and for the few years of production was in olive green, though you could have it in red as an extra.
HEK was owned by martin Kidger in February 2016 before selling it to our vendor in April 2016. It is an older restoration that has apparently covered 903 miles since the restoration, it will require recommissioning before use.
Sold with the V5C.
