1966 Honda CA160, 161cc. Registration number GVU 866D. Frame number CA160-1003484. Engine number A160E-1003528.

The CA160 touring followed the now typical twin cylinder single overhead cam configuration when launched in 1964 as the touring version of the CB96 or CB160. The frame and styling mirrored the C72/C77 range with a pressed steel chassis, tyres with a thin white wall side.
Colours were black, red, blue/grey and white, the model was aimed solely at the North American market, where Honda were becoming very adept at introducing new hitherto non motorcycling customer’s to the joy’s of two wheeled transport.
The single carburettor engine complete with electric start and enclosed chain all helped to keep that clean image.
GVU was imported by David Silver Motorcycles and sold to our vendor, a serial restorer. He has overhauled the machine, carbs vapour cleaned and now on with another project.
Sold with the V5C, VJMC dating certificate, 4 x keys and David Silver purchase receipt.
