Shirley Teed (1933-2018), red Hibiscus, watercolour, signed and dated '86, 29 x 20cm.
Shirley Teed was born in Bristol, attending the West of England College of Art. After living in Australia for three years, she held her first art exhibition in Melbourne. Upon returning to England, she regularly had paintings exhibited at the Royal Academy summer exhibitions, with the Royal Society of British Artists and with the Royal Cambrian Academy. She had solo shows at the Usher Gallery in Lincoln, at the University of Exeter, at Falmouth Art Gallery, and at the Leeds Playhouse
