The Triton, with its Norton frame and Triumph engine regarded by enthusiasts as the quintessential British sports special. This hybrid first emerged in the 1950s and continues to be built by professionals and amateurs alike, enjoying marque status today. It has always allowed builders to construct what they feel is the best combination of frame and engine, whether it be wideline or narrow, 650 or 750cc.
NVG was originally a road bike but was being raced when our mechanical engine vendor bought it in 2016. It was a retirement project and subject to a total nut and bolt restoration.
The T120R had new internals and was converted to 750cc with a balanced crankshaft, electronic ignition/charging, primary belt drive, close ration gearbox, new concentric carbs, the engine, gearbox and exhaust are all rubber mounted to reduce vibrations. The frame was powder coated, the forks reconditioned, new Hagon rear shocks, Roberts race exhaust, stainless steel spokes on alloy rims with new tyres, LED lights, the tank has been lined with Bultaco resin.
Since completion it has covered about 100 running in miles but our vendors wrists will no longer let him ride. Conversion to clip ons would be relatively easy.
