A 1796 pattern Light Cavalry Trooper’s Sabre of regulation type, with curved blade broadening towards the tip, stamped 'Wooley & Co' on the spine, iron stirrup hilt, painted grip, in steel scabbard with two suspension rings, blade 83cm.
James Woolley, sword manufacturer, and Thomas Deakin, cutler, both of Birmingham, became partners in 1790.
