Described by Yamaha as an ‘engineering masterpiece’, the XS750 took the world by storm for its smoothness thanks to the constant velocity U-joints giving a virtually vibration-free ride. The triple engine was a work of art with incredible low-midrange power; it appealed to a multitude of riders. The technology didn't stop there; the lightweight cast aluminium wheels eliminated more vibrations, and being spoke free, no maintenance was required to tighten them. Launched in 1976, it took just one year to get voted by readers of Motorcycle News as bike of the year in 1977.
EYN is basically a one owner machine, owned by Brian Woodhouse from Leeds from new until our vendor, a serial restorer, bought it in April 2023 and set about its recommissioning. The history folder includes the original V5, old insurance documents, 2000 mile service from 1980 at 1975 miles and MOT's from 1983 - 1988, odometer reading at 15,276 miles. Today it reads 15,832 miles.
Sold with the V5C, V5, two keys, original insurance documents, MOT's from 1983-88, mileage from 7,015 miles to 15,276 miles, various spares including a fairing and a silencer and various recent receipts.
