A George VI 9ct gold filled gentleman's foil backed garnet signet ring, makers mark CG, Birmingham 1941, with embossed scrolling decoration to the shoulders, R, 3.1gm.
the garnet has light marks and scratches with an internal fracture reaching the surface, the ring has two visible joins on the shoulders and a join on the bottom of the ring with fire scale.
