J. H. Gray, an early 19th century mahogany stick barometer, with thermometer, ivory registers, signed J. H. Gray Pelham Strt, Nottingham , the case with moulded top and turned cistern cover, 93 cm.
J.H. Gray were established in 1806 as opticians and soon traded as Gray & Selby, they are still operating from the same building today.
