£5,000 - £6,000
1973 Laverda 750 GTF, 743cc. Registration number NPW 91M. Frame number 15219. Enfingine number 15219.
Sold with the V5C, old MOT's, receipts for parts.
Laverda wanted a more touring model than the SF, so they introduced the GT model at the end of 1971, however they equipped it with the frame, engine and brakes of the SF. The bodywork was a mix between the SF (side covers) and early 750 GT models, modified to fit the SF's narrower frame. The tank and saddle in particular retained the general shape of the old models but the lower parts were modified for the new frame. Fork, brakes and exhausts remained those of the old models.
This matching numbers, UK first registered example was first owned by John Vissenga of Brentwood, in 1998 Derek Fox bought it, in 2005 Ian Hood and then Shaun Dampier in 2014. Our vendor bought it from him in 2022. During his ownership he has gone through the machine, a rewire, rebuilt wheels, relined brake shoes, new seat foam and cover, speedo rebuilt, new speedo drive and new tyres. It starts and rides with no issues.
