1961 Greeves Scottish 20TD, 197cc. Registration number WFO 372 (non transferrable), Frame number 20TD 105. Engine number 419 28877.
Greeves Motorcycles was founded by Bert Greeves and produced a range of road machines and later competition mounts for observed trials, scrambles and road racing. The original company produced motorcycles from 1952, funded by a contract with the Ministry of Pensions for their Invacar, a three-wheeler for disabled drivers.
The Greeves Scottish was named in honour of Jack Simpson’s class win in the 1957 Scottish Six Days Trial and for many years it was the clubman rider’s favourite. The bike went through a large number of updates during its eight-year production span but was distinguished by its alloy frame section and leading link forks.
WFO has been owned by our vendor since 2019 and has taken part in many trials events over the years. It will need recommissioning before use.
