An EPNS tea kettle on stand, and other plated wares together with an electroplated oval bacon dish, with gadrooned decoration, inscribed "Presented by the E.T.C. Mess Aden Oct 16th 1913", 32 cm across the handles, an electroplated tea urn, 33cm and a three EPBM tea service.
The Eastern Telegraph Company, (ETC), was to become the largest cable operating company in the world. The CS Colonia laid a cable from Colombo, Ceylon to Aden, a distance of 2264 nm, in 1913.
