A George III silver Old English pattern fish slice, by Eley & Fern, London 1805, with pierced blade, crested with motto "With Heart and Hand", 30cm, 138gm
The crest and motto are for the Scottish Dudgeon family. A notable Victorian London based Dudgeon business was J.&W. Dudgeon, a shipbuilding and engineering company, they built blockade runners for the American Civil War, and employed 1500 men (source wikipedia).
