Walter Goodin (1907-1992), Sailing ship in Princes Dock, Hull, signed and dated 1974, oil on board, 59 x 77 cm, gilt frame.
Provenance; commissioned from the artist by the vendors father who had offices overlooking the dock. This subject matter was painted several times by Goodin, with slight differences; this one is unusual in that it has a dockside in the right hand corner; normally this is a barge.
Exhibited Beverley Art Gallery, 1993, retrospective exhibition.
