Of Hull interest - an Edwardian silver trophy plaque, by Vaughton, Birmingham 1908, the central embossed and chased figure of a gymnast of the parallel bars, inscribed 'HULL YOUNG PEOPLES, CHRISTIAN & LITERARY INSTITUTE, CHAMPION GYMNAST, GENTLEMAN, THE W.H. SLACK CHALLENGE TROPHY', together with nine shields dating from 1908-1939, 39 x 30 cm, weight 18 oz.
Hull Young People's Christian and Literary Institute was founded in 1860.
