1966 BSA C15G, 250cc. Registration number LDA 2D. Frame number painted over. Engine number C15G 171.
Sold with the V5C and a key.
In September 1958 BSA introduced a new ‘250’ that would provide the basis for an entire range of singles in capacities up to 500cc. This newcomer, the C15, featured a compact overhead-valve engine and unitary four-speed gearbox. Alternator electrics and coil ignition were features, early models being distinguished by a distributor-type points housing. The engine/gearbox unit was housed in a conventional cradle frame with bolt-on rear subframe. The C15G was produced from 1966 to 1967 and was the last version of the C15 engine with the ball bearing timing side main bearing, roller drive side and strengthened crankcases, larger oil pump and needle roller gearbox layshaft bearings.
LDA is an older restoration that presents very well. Owned by our deceased vendor for several years it will require light recommissioning before use.
Sold with the V5C and a key.
