1909 Triumph 3 1/2hp, 476cc. Registration number AY 871. Frame number 140065. Engine number 14105.
This rare 1909 example has ownership records back to 1965 with the formidable Yorkshire collector, David Earnshaw, who sold it to Mr Duckworth of Southport. On his passing, his widow Cynthia entered it for a Sotheby's auction at Belle Vue on the 5th October 1986 where our vendor bought it for £2,174.25.
He obtained a Pioneer certificate, number 1141, in 1987 for it and has ridden it on many Pioneer/Vintage/Veteran runs over the years. It comes with many MOT's from 1987 until 1997.
AY is now being sold due to lack of use, sold with the V5C, RF60, MOT's, Pioneer certificate, Sotheby's receipt and bidding number.
