SS Dromore, built by John Fullerton & Co., Paisley in 1903 and owned at the time of her loss by Samuel W. Oakley, London, was a British steamer of 268 tons. On May 18th, 1917, Dromore, on a voyage from St. Malo to Swansea in ballast, was sunk by the German submarine UC-70 (Werner Fürbringer), 6 miles south of St. Martin's Point, Guernsey.
