1964 Royal Enfield Clipper, 249cc. Registration number CBU 120B. Frame number 23422. Engine number C 14430 (see text).
The Clipper was launched in 1954, as a cheap and basic get you to work machine, it used an old-fashioned engine with a cast iron barrel and cylinder head. Despite the budget credentials of the Clipper, the finish was good. Paint was thickly applied and for the few years of production was in olive green, though you could have it in red as an extra.
CBU was owned by Ben Smith in 2015 before our vendor bought it in 2016. It is an older restoration that will require recommissioning before use.
Sold with the V5C, please note the V5C states the engine number to be G 14430.
