A Victorian mahogany roll top desk, retailed by E. Miller & Co. Ltd., Leeds, with pull out slide revealing a central compartment with support, flanked by smaller compartments, drawers and pigeon holes, the whole over three frieze drawers over three drawer pedestals, 150 x 78 x 128cm.
Miller, Ebenezer & Co. of Providence House Estate, North Street, Leeds, Yorkshire; cabinet maker, upholsterer, house furnisher, furniture broker (fl.1876-87), listed in The Furniture Gazette Directory, 1876. They are recorded at the National Trade Exhibition at Coloured Cloth Hall, Leeds, which opened on 17 January 1885.
