£1,400 - £1,600
1964 BSA Beagle, 75cc. Registration number GNO 140B. Frame number K1 1451. Engine number K1 916.
The BSA ‘Beagle’ and its companion, the Ariel ‘Pixie’, shared Edward Turner’s miniature version of the ‘Tiger Cub’ engine and were two more in the line of attempts by the BSA group to develop a lightweight at the sub-‘Bantam’ level. The ‘Beagle’ was visually much the more appealing of the two but late deliveries and reliability problems meant that very few were produced, the survivors having proved to be highly collectable.
GNO was first owned by Alan Barlett of Halstead in Essex before going to Barry Sparke in 1971, the next owner was G. Parrett in Shepperton in 1964, in 2004 Kenneth Senior of Addlestone bought it and then Vernon Investments, again of Addlestone in 2018.
Offered in original condition with 8,149 miles on the odometer with the V5C and R.F.60, it will need recommissioning.
