The Austin A 30 is a small family car produced by Austin from May 1952 to September 1956, it was launched at the 1951 Earls Motor Show and was to be Austin’s competitor to the Morris Minor, at the time it was £62.00 cheaper than the Morris. The car ran with a 803 cc A-Series engine and a 4 speed manual gearbox producing 28bhp at 4400 rpm giving a 0-60 time of 42.3 seconds.
KSL has had an engine transplant to the 1098cc unit commonly found in other BMC motors of the time. It has had a comprehensive restoration and presents very well with a red interior contrasting the grey exterior. It also comes with a period picnic basket and Austin picnic blanket. Owned by our vendor since 2012 it has been much loved but now does not get used very often
