Donald Campbell and Leo Villa, with Bluebird, November 1957. Ten unpublished negatives taken by S. Whitworth when Campbell was trying out new engines. Also present were his sister Jean Hulme, Mrs Grenville Howard and Campbell's secretary Dory Swan. Sold with copyright.
Bluebird K7 encapsulated the technological promise of the Festival of Britain, between 1955 and 1959 Campbell broke the outright World Water Speed Record on six separate occasions, four of them on Coniston Water.
